These terms govern your use of richardsonssofa.co.uk and any order you place with us. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Richardsons Sofa is a trading name of the business operating from the address above. We sell furniture online only — we do not have a showroom, and we cannot accept visitors or collections at this address.

Using this website

By using this website you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you will use the site lawfully. We may restrict access where the site is being misused.

Products and descriptions

We describe our products as accurately as we can, including materials, dimensions and what is included. Colours can look different from screen to screen, and small variations in fabric and finish are normal on upholstered furniture. If a product arrives materially different from its description, you are entitled to reject it — see our Return & Refund Policy.

We do not offer a manufacturer's or extended guarantee on our furniture, and we make no claim about how many years a product will last. What you have instead are your legal rights, set out below.

Your legal rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you have the remedies described in our Return & Refund Policy: a full refund within 30 days of delivery, and a repair, replacement or refund after that. You also have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay — delivery to UK addresses is free, and no further taxes or charges are added at checkout or on delivery.

We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details. Prices can change, and we may correct obvious pricing errors and cancel an affected order, refunding you in full.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. You will receive an order confirmation email; the contract is formed when we dispatch your order. We may refuse or cancel an order — for example if the item is out of stock, the price was wrong, or we cannot verify the payment — and we will refund you in full if we do.

Delivery

Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates. If we have not delivered within 30 days of your order, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

Intellectual property

The text, layout and branding of this website belong to Richardsons Sofa or to our suppliers, and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and we do not limit your statutory rights. We are not liable for business losses.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier failures or supply disruption. If a delay is significant we will contact you, and you may cancel and receive a full refund.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are those published when you placed it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
